Yesterday`s train derailment: 19 are still in hospital Nineteen people are still in hospital in St. Petersburg following Monday`s train derailment in the Novgorod Region in northwestern Russia, a hospital spokesman said Wednesday.

The express train hurtled off the rails on the Moscow to St. Petersburg route, the country`s busiest rail line, at 9:38 p.m. Moscow time (5:38 p.m. GMT) Monday. Carriages were overturned, and 60 people were injured. A 2-meter (6-foot) crater was left in the track.

"As of 8:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT) 19 people remain in hospital," the source said. "One woman`s condition is fairly serious, while the other 18 are all in a satisfactory condition."

Photofits were compiled Tuesday of two people suspected of setting off a bomb that caused the train derailment.
