During meeting of Iranian and Japan ministers of foreign affairs Taro Aso intends to clarify issue of Russian-Iranian mutual enterprise on uranium enrichment construction. The visit of Iranian minister Manouchehr Mottaki to Japan starts on February 27 and will last till March 1.

The possibility of economic sanctions against Iran application intensifies tension in the world and in Far East. Japan is the main importer of Iranian oil. Japan company Inpeks intends to participate in development of oilfield Azadegan in south Iran despite of negative attitude of USA government. Japan depends on Iranian oil supplies and wishes to avoid extreme measures and sanctions use.

Japan will not apply economic sanctions against Iran but it may imply diplomatic pressure for settlement of current situation.
